Jean Turton – ‘Chinese Brush Painting Workshop’

Jean Turton has been a teacher of Chinese brush painting for over 20 years. She specialises in flower painting and has taught in Berkshire for a number of years. 

Jean served on the Chinese Brush Painting Society committee, including holding the post of Chairman. She enjoys passing on her enthusiasm and love of the art to all.

The workshop starts with an explanation of the equipment, techniques and philosophy of Chinese art and the differences from Western art.

In the morning the workshop will consist of a flower composition, and in the afternoon a traditional landscape.

Jean will bring brushes to borrow and ink to use, and paper to buy.
