Our Sketching Group held its first meeting at Lakeside Country Park in May 2024. What we thought would be a fair-weather pursuit meets whatever the weather, and now continues all year round.
We have regular meet-ups on the third Monday of the month, 10.30 till 1 -ish. We’ve managed indoor meets if the weather is iffy, and moved one a day late when the forecast was particularly bad.
We call this sketching, but if you want to carry more gear with you and produce a plein air picture, you are welcome to do so.
The venue is circulated in an email newsletter about a week beforehand.

Sketching Challenge
We held a Sketching Challenge in February, which was a great success. You can read more about it here.
It was so well received, we are now doing a monthly theme, and weekly prompts. You don’t have to do everything, pick and choose as you wish, and post to the Facebook private group.
