Christine Forbes – ‘Loose Landscapes in Acrylics Workshop.’

Christine is an artist with a very contemporary slant.  She uses colour but doesn’t allow herself to get preoccupied with it.  She finds that black, the mainstay of classical Oriental drawings, can be powerful.  Everything she takes inspiration from is premised in Chinese and Japanese art and philosophy.  The balance of line, form and space must be considered within each artwork along with questions about nature’s energy – chi.

Christine will bring her many years of teaching, including at West Dean and provide a wonderful workshop on the theme of Loose Landscapes in Acrylics.
