  • Setup – Friday 18 August – Afternoon
  • Hand In – Friday 18 August – Late Afternoon/Evening and Saturday 19 August – Early Morning 
  • First Day Open – Saturday 19 August 
  • Last Day Open – Bank Holiday Monday 28 August
  • Collection of work – Bank Holiday Monday 28 August 4pm onwards
  • Breakdown and storage of stands – Monday 28 August 4pm onwards

Open to the public 10am to 4pm daily

The forthcoming Summer Exhibition will be the first exhibition using the stands from the new Store Room in the Church Hall – so it’s going to be a bit experimental – we will learn and improve things as we go along.

The exhibition is arranged to coincide with the Hampshire Open Studio Event, with our own Open Studios runnning in parallel in MR3, the room at the back of the church complex. We will publicise both events widely and have an entry in the HOS booklet – this has a circulation of 56,000!

Exhibiting

As always, the difficulty for the organisers is knowing how many people will exhibit, and if there will be enough space for all of your work. Initially we will be asking for up to four artworks to be submitted, but this may be adjusted as we understand the numbers better.

There are some major changes to what will be accepted this year – (digital art, prints, frames without D-rings, etc). It is very important that you read the Submission Notes and Presentation of Work very carefully.  At the table top Spring Exhibition we were very relaxed when it came to checking frames etc. We will be more strict for the Summer Exhibition. If you are not sure of something, or would like some help or advice please don’t hesitate to contact us.
