Ron Moody – Pen and Watercolour Wash Workshop

The Chandlers Ford Art Group are delighted to confirm that Ron Moody will be returning on Saturday 9th January 2027 to present another great Watercolour Pen/Wash Workshop. The workshop will introduce us to the delights of working with pen and watercolour resulting in the completion of work similar to the sketch shown here.

Ron will begin by demonstrating how he plans the painting and then he will start to draw the subject in pen. The attendees will follow suit working on the same subject. The painting is completed in stages using watercolour before adding any finishing touches in pen and strengthening some of the linework.

Joining instructions will be provided prior to the workshop for those who are not confident enough to draw directly with a pen, enabling you to make preparations before joining the class (tracing or making guidelines in pencil etc.).

Biography: Ron’s subjects are varied but mostly often represent buildings, townscapes, harbour scenes and many have nautical themes.

His preferred medium is watercolour, pen and wash as well as acrylics and mixed media with collage.
