Brief Outline
During this session we’ll explore the joy of creating with acrylics and mixed media in a relaxed, playful way. We’ll explore how to let go of perfection, embrace spontaneity, and build vibrant, layered compositions. The session will include demonstrations of key techniques, such as mark-making, texture creation, and layering, while encouraging you to experiment and trust your instincts.
Bio
Rebecca Hurst is a semi-abstract artist based in Winchester, Hampshire, specializing in abstract compositions, still life, and landscapes. Her work is deeply inspired by the surrounding countryside, farmland, coastal vistas, and architectural forms.
Play and intuition is integral to her process and strongly believes that everyone has creativity within them. Working on wood, canvas and paper, she approaches her work with an openness to experimentation. She builds up layers, allowing colours, textures, and forms to evolve organically. By embracing spontaneity and trusting her instincts, Rebecca creates art that is vibrant, dynamic, and deeply personal.
