Going Wild in Watercolour
Saturday 13 January 2024 – 9.30am-3.30pm
Church Hall adjacent to the Dovetail Cafe
Many of you will know Jake from his previous demonstrations and workshops and I’m thrilled to confirm that Jake has agreed to provide a wonderful workshop opportunity for the Group. Please visit his website for more information about Jake and his watercolour techniques. http://www.winkleart.com
The workshop is aimed to encourage students to paint in a free loose way. With the emphasis on colour, shape and mark making Jake will lead you step by step through two watercolour paintings of wildlife. Students should come with all their usual watercolour equipment including two sheets of good quality watercolour paper, minimum size 15” x 11” either stretched or taped to a board (Jake uses Arches 140lb Rough) and a spare piece for practice. Students will also need 2B and 2H pencils, masking fluid and white body colour such as white gouache. Jake will provide all photo and sketch references as well as tracing options for those who would rather trace than draw freehand.
