HOS25
HOS25 was a spectacular event, thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who took part and those who visited. Yes – there were the occasional quiet periods when members communicated between themselves – but it was mostly buzzing with interested visitors. A number of members, who in the past have run HOS sessions from home, reported better footfall and sales.
Plans are already underway to make next year’s HOS event bigger, better, and more exciting.
A very big thank you to Alex Phillips who not only organised the event but was there at 8:30 every morning to help participants set up, and also locked up and was last away every evening.

This year we ran our Hampshire Open Studio in parallel with our Summer Exhibition, which took place in the main hall.
The main idea is to allow members to participate in the Open Art concept. Many of us work as and where we can, rather than have a ‘studio’ of any sort set aside for our art. During the Hampshire Open Studio weeks, we take a table in the comfortable setting of MR3 (Meeting Room 3) at the Dovecote Centre, and talk about our work to visitors. Most artists work on a project of some sort, and many will have work for sale. Generally speaking, each member will only be present for two days, so it is worthwhile returning to see others later in the week.
Thank you to our organisers, and everyone taking part.
